Meet Missy Ann…She is a Cockatiel…a birdy.
Mommy and the kids went to the store on Thursday morning and when they were leaving they noticed a bird cage that had a sign on it. It said, “Free bird, cage, and food.” Then we looked inside the cage and there was this beautiful little bird. Mommy thought it was strange that someone would just leave a bird outside of a store like that. So they picked up the cage and sarted walking back to the van and a lady sitting in a truck called us over. It was one of the birds owners. She said that they were moving to California and they didn’t want to give the bird anxiety with the long road trip and they didn’t want to sell her so they set her outside the grocery store in hopes that someone with kids would take her. She told us her name was Missy Ann.
Us cats are very curious about our new family member…here is Princess checking Missy Ann out.
She has grace doesn’t she…look at how good she can balance on the arm of the couch.
and here I am

Buddy
Tigger was sleeping in the house and Polly was too busy playing in the yard to do International Box Day. We liked the idea of doing it outside, mommy pulled the boxes out of the garage this morning and set them up outside for us…and we were already out there with her exploring the garden.

Our house has been a crazy place the last few days. We had a birthday party for two of our humans on Saturday, so this week they spent a lot of time cleaning the house. Then we had bunches of peoples here yesterday for the party. Then mom was up this morning early making home made rolls for another birthday party. Poor mom is worn out. She is being lazy now…she wore me out just watching her.
(Please excuse the dirt on the carpet, our vaccum broke on Saturday. She got everything vaccumed but her bedroom floor before it broke.)
If mom gets this worned out with human birthday’s whats she gonna do when me and my three siblings turn 1 on June 29th?

There sure are a lot of birdies here where we live. Mom likes to take pictures of them. We like to sit up in the tree and watch them…

A barn swallow sitting on mommy's windchime outside on the front porch

A wood pecker in the weeping willow tree...can you see him, he is black and white.

we couldn't see these humming birds because they were in the mountains, but mom took their picture so we could see them.
